Blessed to have another...

Hola chicas!

Hope your weekend was enjoyable. Mine certainly was...I had the best birthday weekend! My awesomely wonderful husband collaborated with his sister (aka my best friend who lives 4 states away) to throw me a surprise birthday party at our house. They were able to pull it off without me having a clue.

This past year has been challenging, to say the least, but ultimately I am blessed to have another year filled with love and support from my family and friends. That's what helped get me through the really tough times. I'm looking forward to the year to come. We're expecting some great things to happen for our family.

Style Me Friday: In-Vested

Hola Chicas!

Coming to you this week with my first Style Me Friday linkup with Eboni from The Fashionista Next Door. I'm excited to be a part of this linkup as I admire Eboni's sense of style and creativity. This week's Style Me Friday is all about the vest. Vests are great for layering. A vest can be layered over a button-up shirt, a dress, tank or a sweater to name a few. I chose to layer my utility vest over a button-up for this casual friday look.

Comfy chic

Hey there classy chicas!

Hope you enjoyed the holiday weekend! I finished up the long weekend spending time with the fam. Had dinner and did a little shopping with the hubby and baby. We got her ears pierced today and she was such the little trooper. She cried only for a few seconds and she was just fine after that. I had to be strong for her, so I made my husband hold her while she got her ears pierced - lol, but it ended well after all.

If you don't already know, I love simple outfits. They make my mornings easy (when I come up with the outfit idea the night before, that is.) These days easy is hard to come by especially with having a newborn, so when getting dressed is easy, life is good! :-)

Gone too long...

Hello all,

My deepest apologies for being away so long! Over the past year life has happened in a major way. In my last post I left you with the news that I got engaged. Well, so much has happened since then (i.e. new hubby, new baby and a few other curveballs that were thrown my way). Unfortunately, my pregnancy, among other things, drained me of all energy and motivation to do anything which is why it took so long to get back to what I love...shopping (for two of us now!), blogging and sharing my experiences with you guys!
